Where to stay in Paris? That’s the question everyone traveling to Paris is asking at some point. Be it on forums, Reddit, Facebook, and also in personal messages I receive. And I have to admit, it is the hardest part of your Paris trip planning.

Especially if you have never been to Paris and don’t know what to expect from the different neighborhoods.

For starters, I suggest you take a look at my post about the best neighborhoods in Paris. It includes a short overview and my recommendation on districts, that are always a safe bet.

Where I stayed: Hôtel Monte Cristo

My personal recommendation is to look at Hôtel Monte Cristo. I stayed there last year when I had works in my apartment, and it was just perfect.

The breakfast lacked absolutely nothing, the rooms were lovely decorated and the pool was just divine. Plus, they have an in-house cocktail bar that is one of the best cocktail bars in Paris, and across the street is their restaurant, which was wonderful as well. You can read my complete review here.
