Orly to Disneyland Paris: Your Complete Guide
Letโs discuss briefly the airport and where itโs situated.
Because knowing your current location and identifying your target destinations can simplify the process of choosing the most suitable way of getting around in Paris.
About the Orly Airport and Disneyland Paris
The Orly airport lies 10 km outside of Paris, in the south. Orly is the smaller one of the two main airports in Paris. It is less of a maze than the massive Charles-de-Gaulle Airport in the North.
But you donโt need to worry too much about it anyway. Because everything is indicated, and you shouldnโt struggle too much to find the train station, taxi stand, or bus stop.
Disneyland Paris lies 40 km outside of Paris, in the east. Itโs located in Marne-la-Vallรฉe, which is very well-connected to Paris by public transportation.
However, there is no direct train line from the Airport to Disneyland Paris, but the transfer is still rather uncomplicated.

Whatโs the Distance from the Airport to Disneyland?
The distance from Orly to Disneyland Paris is approximately 50 km (31 mi) if you take a taxi, magic shuttle, or a private transfer.
If you donโt take public transportation, you wonโt need to enter Paris. Instead, youโll take the A86 and A4 highways. By bypassing Paris, youโll evade the heaviest traffic, but truth be told, it will still be busy during rush hours.

How to get from Orly to Disneyland?
Are you ready to kick off your magical trip to Disneyland Paris with a comfortable and laid-back transfer from the airport? Then read on because without further ado, here are for you the best ways to get there.
#1 Take the Magic Shuttle
If you want to begin your magical Disney adventure right at the airport, book yourself a seat on the Magic Shuttle. The shuttle bus circulates hourly from 9h to 19h between Orly Airport and Disneyland Hotels and provides you with a reliable transfer. See their schedule here.
It is a comfortable, affordable, and hassle-free option if you are traveling alone to Paris or in a group of 2 or 3.
However, if your group consists of 4 passengers that are older than 11, you are cheaper off by booking a private transfer. It furthermore provides you with better service and more comfort.
Also, keep in mind that the Magic Bus is often time-consuming.
Hereโs a refined version of that point:
The process of passengers disembarking at their hotels and unloading luggage can really eat up time. So, even if the ride itself isnโt longer than other transport options, expect delays toward the end.
The Magic Shuttle bus serves every Terminal at the Orly Airport:
- Orly 1 & 2: Exit Gate 18, Platform 7
- Orly 3: Exit Gate 22a, Platform 7
- Orly 4: Exit Gate 48a, Platform 3

#2 Hop on a Train to Disneyland
Taking the train from Orly to Disneyland Paris can be an option if you are traveling on a tight budget to Paris. Itโs the cheapest alternative, but not the easiest. Especially if you are not familiar with train travel or the Parisian public transportation system.
This is not putting you off? Not even that there is no direct train connecting the Airport and Disney? Then read on because in the following I explain to you in details how to get to Disney.
Step 1: The Orlyval Train
The Orlyval is an automated shuttle train that connects the 4 Terminals at the Orly Airport with the nearby train station of Anthony.
In Orly, you can purchase your ticket for the train to Disneyland at the Orlyval train station. It will cost around โฌ16 per Passenger over 11. Children from 4 pay โฌ13.50.

Step 2: The RER B in Anthony
In Anthony, you need to take the Paris suburb train, called RER. The RER is a suburb train that connects cities within the greater Paris area with Paris and is also connected to the inner Parisian Metro lines.
There is only one line servicing Anthony, the RER B. However, from Anthony, the RER goes in 3 directions. First, in the direction Saint-Rรฉmy lรจs Chevreuse (wrong direction), and then in the direction Mitry Claye and Airport Charles de Gaulle. You want to hop on one of the two because both are crossing Paris.
You need to take RER B from Anthony to Chรขtelet-Les Halles.

Step 3: The RER A from Anthony to Disneyland Paris
In Chรขtelet-Les Halles, you need to transfer from RER B to RER A. Make sure you are catching a train to Marne la Vallรฉ Chessy. Thatโs Disneyland, you canโt miss it.
Update September 2024: Metro Line 14 got extended and is now servicing the Orly Airport. This means you can skip the Orlyval train and the RER B, and take Metro Line 14 instead. Make sure to get out at Gare du Lyon and transfer here to RER A.
The prices are more or less the same, the travel time a bit shorter by Metro.
Where to Buy the Train Ticket?
Before boarding the Orlyval or the Metro at the Orly Airport, you can purchase a train ticket to Disneyland at one of the vending machines.
The language at the vending machines can be changed, and you shouldnโt run into issues finding the right option to buy a ticket for a train to Disney.
If Disneyland is not preselected, pick Destination Tickets and type in your exit destination (Marne la Vallรฉe Chessy). The ticket is valid for the entire journey.

#3 Book a Private Transfer to Disney
This is the most convenient check here for prices
I know that a private transfer always sounds a bit extra, but it is not much more than a taxi really, that you arrange already before arrival.
It is not even pricier than a taxi that you hail at the airport.
But, it takes off a massive mind load knowing that you will be picked up upon arrival and all is taken care of. (I am talking from experience here.)
At the time of writing, the price for a regular taxi from Orly to Disneyland Paris is between โฌ80 and โฌ110.
A pre-booked private transfer with Welcome Pickup is โฌ82 at a flat rate. Compare prices here.

My go-to service when booking my transfers is Welcome Pickups and thatโs why I recommend them to you. Your driver will meet you at your gate, help with your luggage, and drop you off at your accommodation.
Check out private transfer options and be surprised that this added service is not charged much more than a regular Taxi!
Itโs just so very convenient to have someone taking care of you after a tiring journey. Thatโs why I believe booking one of the Welcome Pickups transfers from Orly Airport to Disneyland Paris is the best you can do, especially if you are traveling with kids.

Voilร , I hope I could clear the Airport Transfer situation up for you. The train is only really interesting if you are traveling on a very tight budget, and already a few euros are making a difference.
Because the train will cost you โฌ16 while the direct Magic Shuttle is already available for โฌ24.
If your group consists of 4 passengers over 11 years, the cheapest and most convenient option is the private transfer. It also comes with added services like gate pick-up and child seats.
